We are looking to appoint an ambitious maths teacher with leadership skills to deliver exceptional teaching, learning and organisational support in this large department. Someone who is committed to ensuring every child is challenged to achieve their maximum potential. You will have passion, enthusiasm, alongside the skills and desire to develop and nurture every child in your care.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a professional who can work in partnership with parents and other stakeholders
  • Be experienced in raising attainment for all students from their starting points
  • Have proven experience of working successfully with students of all abilities
  • Be able to show evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of your subject through schemes of work and extra curricular activities

Key responsibilities:

  • To support and deputise for the Director of Mathematics
  • Have excellent knowledge of national curriculum and assessment for GCSE and A Level Maths
  • Support the Director of Mathematics in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality curriculum by all teachers of the department
  • To lead, develop and enhance the teaching practice of all the teachers in the department, evaluating the quality of teaching

Qualification Criteria:

  • Qualified to degree level or above (maths related degree preferable)
  • Right to work in the U.K.
  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS)
