The Role
To deliver outstanding teaching and learning of their subject and therefore help students achieve excellent results, and be a role-model/impact the academy more widely. Design an engaging and challenging curriculum that inspires children to appreciate the subject and its application.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE; BEd or equivalent and hold QTS status
- Be an outstanding teacher of Physics or have the potential to become outstanding
- Experience in raising or the desire to raise attainment in a challenging classroom environment
- Proven experience working or the desire to work successfully to raise attainment in Physics
- Have proven experience working or the desire to work successfully with students of all abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, resource and deliver lessons to the highest standard that ensures real learning and students make superior progress
- Provide a nurturing environment to assist students to develop as learners
- Teach engaging lessons that motivate, inspire and improve pupil attainment
- Contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to individual and groups of pupils
Qualification Criteria:
- Qualified to degree level in subject
- Hold right to work in the U.K
