Location: Field based – covering Sheffield

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 08:30 – 16:30. Saturday & Sunday 10:00 – 18:00

Salary: £26,025 plus £1,000 shift allowance and on‑call pay

Overview: You will deliver and collect rental equipment, primarily pressure‑relieving mattresses, to all hospital sites across the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will log all serial numbers using an iPad and iPhone, prioritise deliveries, and ensure installation requests are met within four hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver equipment directly to wards and collect items that are no longer required.
  • Log serial numbers and maintain accurate records for each transaction.
  • Load and operate a company van to meet service demands across multiple sites.
  • Adhere to a methodical and practical approach to minimise patient wait times.
  • Lift bulky mattresses for extended periods using provided equipment support.
  • Participate in on‑call rota and be available during evenings, weekends, and bank holidays if required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid UK driver’s licence with at least one year of clean driving history.
  • Ability to lift bulky mattresses for prolonged periods.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (salary deduction will be made by Arjo).
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Practical, prioritising, and route‑planning approach.
  • Positive, team‑oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours.
