As an Aristocrat Interactive Technical Artist, you will be fundamental in bridging the gap between creative and development departments. You will be responsible for ensuring that the graphical elements and assets provided by the creative team meet all the specific requirements for development, to an exceptional standard.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and quality-check a high volume of graphical elements for games.
- Follow the asset pipeline.
- Follow Technical Art standards and best practices.
- Optimise game assets, concentrating on efficiency of delivery, file size and visual quality.
- Provide input during all stages of the Technical Art process.
- Take responsibility for and maintain an organised structure of working files and documents, in accordance with best practices.
- Assist in performance tests and quality assurance.
- Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks and dedicating the appropriate amount of time to each.
What We’re Looking For
Skills / Requirements:
- A strong portfolio of work which clearly demonstrates the ability to create high quality artwork suitable for games.
- Good understanding and practical experience of the asset pipeline.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe creative suite software (Photoshop & Illustrator).
- Strong typography and layout skills.
- Has a super sharp eye for detail with a good understanding of pixel-perfect design for games.
- Would benefit from general all-round art skills. Understanding of colour theory, composition, and digital illustration.
- Excellent grasp of game mechanics.
- Have a good understanding of the multi-platform online world and stay up to date with new advances.
- A proven ability to think conceptually and broadly about projects.
- A driven individual with a proactive attitude toward task accomplishment.
- Displays a good understanding of design that is sympathetic to animation and development limitations.
- Exhibits strength in organisational skills and is methodical by nature.
- Displays excellence and proactivity in core admin (emails, meetings, chat communication, cross-team communication).
