We are seeking an experienced Mobile Lead Developer to join our team and oversee the development of our Core Platform, native SDKs, and bridges with 3rd party SDKs. You will lead a growing team of developers in building and maintaining robust, high-performance mobile solutions across both iOS and Android platforms and supporting the migration of legacy systems to the new architecture.
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the mobile platform, SDKs, and integrations that support a range of applications. In addition to architecting and developing scalable mobile solutions, you will lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring adherence to best practices that drive performance, security, and maintainability across projects.
This role requires close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, making strong communication and proactive engagement essential. You will guide and support your team by providing clear direction and technical leadership, helping them make informed decisions that align with mobile development best practices. While fostering collaboration and openness, you will ensure that the team adheres to high engineering standards, offering thoughtful recommendations and constructive feedback to promote growth and maintain quality.

What You’ll Do

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of mobile Core Platform, native SDKs, and integration with third-party SDKs, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.
  • Produce documents and diagrams to communicate your designs and processes effectively with the wider development and leadership teams.
  • Mentor and guide a team of developers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
  • Design actionable development tasks that drive iterative progress for product delivery and the team.
  • Establish, enforce and drive best practices in programming, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to industry standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Architecture, Client DevOps, Solutions and QA to define requirements and deliver robust mobile solutions.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities in mobile applications, implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide regular feedback and support to team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers within the organization.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Articulate technical concepts and project updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a mobile developer with a strong focus on Java/Kotlin development for Android or Objective-C/Swift for iOS.
  • Exceptional knowledge of either Java/Kotlin for Android development or Objective-C/Swift for iOS development.
  • Proven experience leading a development team, with strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Familiarity with mobile application architectures and design patterns that ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • At least one successfully released product while managing a team of developers.
  • Understanding of core engineering principles, including SOLID, DRY, and KISS.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with Unity3D.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, Gradle, Jenkins for CI/CD.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools and static code analysis (e.g., New Relic, SonarQube).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications in Management and Leadership.
