The Executive Business Partner (EBP) serves as a strategic advisor and operational leader within the CEO and COO Office, operating as an extension of executive leadership to drive business performance, organisational alignment, and strategic execution. This role goes significantly beyond traditional executive support. The EBP is accountable for shaping priorities, informing decision-making, leading planning cycles, and driving delivery of critical business initiatives across the organisation. Acting as a central integrator across leadership, the role ensures that strategy is translated into actionable plans, measurable outcomes, and effective cross-functional execution. The EBP plays a critical role in maximising enterprise value by aligning executive focus, business planning, financial prioritisation, and operational delivery, with direct exposure to board-level decision-making and organisational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory & Decision Support
    • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and COO, providing analysis, insight, and recommendations to inform business decisions.
    • Synthesise complex business information (financial, operational, market) into clear strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
    • Support the evaluation of growth opportunities, investments, and strategic priorities.
    • Prepare executive-level briefings for Board, Investor, and senior leadership forums with clear viewpoints and options.
  • Business Planning & Performance Management
    • Lead and coordinate annual and quarterly business planning processes, ensuring alignment to corporate strategy.
    • Support budgeting, financial prioritisation, and resource allocation decisions in partnership with finance P&C and business leaders.
    • Establish and track KPIs and performance metrics, providing regular insights on delivery against strategic objectives.
    • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities, enabling proactive course correction.
  • Strategic Initiative Leadership
    • Own and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives on behalf of the CEO and COO.
    • Ensure initiatives are clearly defined, resourced, governed, and delivered against agreed outcomes.
    • Remove barriers to execution and drive accountability across senior stakeholders.
    • Monitor progress and provide regular reporting and recommendations to leadership.
  • Executive & Organisational Governance
    • Design and manage effective governance structures and decision-making forums (Board, Executive committees, leadership meetings).
    • Shape agendas to focus on strategic decisions, performance, and key risks.
    • Ensure high-quality inputs, structured discussions, and clear decision outputs and ownership.
    • Drive follow-through on actions and embed accountability across leadership teams.
  • Stakeholder Leadership & Alignment
    • Act as a central integrator across business units, ensuring alignment of priorities and execution.
    • Build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across functions (Finance, Strategy, Operations).
    • Facilitate effective communication of strategy, priorities, and decisions across the organisation.
    • Manage sensitive and confidential matters with sound judgement and discretion.
  • Operational Strategy & Executive Leverage
    • Translate executive priorities into structured execution plans and operating rhythms.
    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness, processes, and communication flows.
    • Ensure executives are equipped with the insight, context, and recommendations needed for high-impact decision-making.
