As a strategic business partner to the Aristocrat Interactive leadership team, the Director of Commercial Insights will collaborate closely with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Central Data & Analytics team. They will use Aristocrat’s enterprise data platforms and services to support Interactive’s key businesses: iLottery, Content, and Platforms. This leader crafts and delivers actionable insights. They build reporting products for internal and external customers. The role will drive adoption of centralized data assets (data platform, BI, AI) and ensures data and insights translate into measurable commercial impact.
What You'll Do
- Insights Design & Decision Impact: Lead the design, packaging, and delivery of insights that influence where Interactive focuses – growth levers, product roadmap, customer value, margin and unit economics. Partner with Leaders, Product, Commercial, and Market MDs to embed insights into recurring Business Reviews, forecast cycles, and investment cases.
- Data Governance & Quality: Collaborate closely with the Chief Data Office and central data team. Establish and enforce data governance frameworks covering metadata, lineage, privacy, and SLAs. This ensures a trusted ‘one source of truth.’ Partner alongside the core data group to improve data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across the Interactive go-to-market segments.
- Reporting Product Design & Packaging (Internal & External): Drive the visual design for dashboards, scorecards, and executive packs – in partnership with the central team provide clear standards on definitions, layouts, and visual storytelling across tools (Powerpoint executive templates and PowerBI, AI or other). Develop board‑ready and customer‑ready templates and automate recurring reporting; ensure accessibility and performance across devices.
- Business Partnership & Enablement: Serve as the primary data partner to CFO/FP&A, CEO, Product leaders, and Managing Directors of each go‑to‑market segment. Provide timely, actionable insights to drive growth, optimize processes, and improve unit economics; translate platform capabilities into business‑relevant outcomes.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership: Liaise with central data platform, engineering, and analytics teams to coordinate reporting and dashboard roadmap delivery and handle market needs. Develop strong feedback loops with central teams to iterate and evolve data products and platform capabilities based on team member input.
- Team Leadership & Market Uplift: Build and lead a high‑performing team of business data analysts and data product managers; set clear ways of working to ensure accountability and delivery. Embed commercially‑minded analysts within core GTM functions; raise data literacy through upskilling and team member training. Develop a strong data culture passionate about scalable foundations, continuous improvement, and measurable impact across markets.
- Technical Leadership: Deep understanding of data and reporting technical architectures and tools, partner with the office of the CDO and central platform team to challenge, innovate and upgrade tools and capabilities where needed, driving self‑service as much as possible. Hands‑on proficiency with SQL and modern BI/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); familiarity with cloud data warehouses and ELT (e.g., Snowflake). Some proficiency with Generative AI or AI agent workflows would be a plus.
What We Need From You
- BSc/BA or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data/Analytics, Business, or related field.
- Advanced degree (MSc/MBA) and/or professional certification preferred.
- Experience in insights and analytics leadership roles within digital consumer businesses (gaming, entertainment/tech) or B2B SaaS scale‑ups.
- Consistent record of delivering business impact through data strategy, analytics platforms, and governance initiatives in matrixed global organizations.
- Expertise with BI tools and data modeling; working knowledge of Salesforce/CRM and GTM tooling; ability to influence without authority and lead change.
