Job Description
Role off hold and active again. Females only for cultural reasons.
Seeking a Lead Butler with an UHNW residence, yacht or 5* hotel background for an UHNW property where the family are in part-time residence, about 4-5 months total over a year.
During family visits you will be responsible for the daily Butler function including rotas, formal F&B service (silver service) to family and guests, assist the House Manager, greet guests, lead, train and supervise a team of 6-8 temp Butlers etc.
When the family are not in residence in addition to Butler maintenance responsibilities, your role will encompass assisting in other areas – assist the House manager, supervise contractors, maintain inventories, assist the HKs if required, create Butler service and preferences manuals, first point of contact in the HM's absence and whatever else may be needed on a daily basis.
Candidate requirements –
- Good previous Butler experience at the high-end
- Supervised a small team previously
- Ability to train and run a small Butler team
- Ability to ensure consistent exceptional service delivery at all times
- Polished, well-presented, good manners and etiquette
- Cheerful, positive personality
- High level of discretion, integrity and reliability
- Willing to travel to Paris for short periods if required.
Candidates must be UK legal, live within a commutable distance and have excellent checkable references.
The family are in residence for a total of approximately 4-5 months over a year, though this can vary and there may be a good few months with no visits. When not in residence it is Mon-Fri, 9 – 5 pm. When the family are in residence everyone works a 6 day week on either an early or late shift and slightly longer hours. Meals provided on duty and also a taxi home when on late shifts. Uniformed position (black trousers, shirt, shoes).
