Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our supported accommodation team specialise in supporting young people to access resources in the community and live independently. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management team to deliver high-quality support services to young people, ensuring their well-being and safety environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop their leadership skills within a compassionate environment.
Duties
- Assist the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the supported accommodation, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Deputising the manager
- Supervise and support staff, providing leadership and guidance to maintain high standards of service delivery
- Oversee the implementation and review of personalised care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs
- Ensure young people are prompt to take their medication accurately and in accordance with legal requirements
- Support young people with challenging behaviour through person-centred approach, including therapeutic-friendly activities and environment adaptations
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and Ofsted standards
- Assist in staff training programmes to promote professional development and maintain a motivated team
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive young people care
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality through audits, feedback collection, and best practice implementation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in children or supported accommodation environments, particularly within senior or dementia care settings
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in supported accommodation or home care setting
- Familiarity with developing and managing individualised care plans
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are a must
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to engage residents, families, and team members effectively
- A recognised understanding of safeguarding procedures and regulatory compliance within adult social care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £29,500.00-£33,500.00 per year
