We are looking to appoint a Scotland-based associate health and safety consultant to help clients as and when required. You may be an independent Consultant working for yourself, or working part-time or full-time for a company, but seeking additional income. The Consultant will provide expert health and safety and fire safety guidance to various clients, conduct risk assessments, advise on occupational health matters, and ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Fire Safety regulations.
The role may include:
- Health and Safety Audits and Inspections
- Writing Health and Safety Manuals
- Creating and updating Legal Registers
- Creating and reviewing Risk Assessments
- Delivering Health and Safety Training sessions online or in-person
- Providing ad hoc advice to clients
You would use Arinite's agreed reporting templates and adapt them to Scotland's health and safety/fire safety legislation.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Organisational skills to be able to manage a busy work schedule.
- Deliver engaging and informative, tailored face-to-face health and safety training.
- Ability to provide pragmatic recommendations.
- Qualifications and Professional Memberships relevant to your location’s legal requirements.
- Due to the geography of some of our clients in Scotland, the ideal candidate must be able to travel to all parts of Scotland.
