The Role: Founding Head of Engineering
We’re looking for a Founding Head of Engineering to lead the charge in building our central technology platform - someone who thrives in high-feedback, fast-build environments and wants to have a lasting impact on an ambitious company from the ground up. You’ll architect, build, and manage the team responsible for prototyping and deploying tools that integrate and supercharge performance across our SaaS group. From stitching together 3rd-party APIs to deploying AI agents that drive growth — this is a rare opportunity to shape both product and team from day one.
What You’ll Do:
- Build the Core Aries Platform: Drive the design and development of tools and systems that unify and scale portfolio operations.
- Lead Engineering Execution: Hire, grow, and mentor a central team of high-performing engineers (~20 over 12 months).
- Own Agent Development: Lead development of autonomous and semi-autonomous agents, especially for outbound and inbound GTM workflows.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Product, Data, and AI teams to take ideas from concept to working product - fast.
- Integrate & Automate: Stitch together best-in-class tools and platforms via APIs and state machines, creating fast-feedback systems.
- Champion Engineering Excellence: Set technical standards, introduce best practices, and create a culture of velocity, ownership, and continuous learning.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record in engineering leadership within high-growth B2B SaaS environments.
- Strong builder: Able to go from 0→1 rapidly, with an eye for experimentation and iteration.
- Technical breadth across backend, APIs, systems integration, and ideally some experience with AI workflows or agents.
- Experience managing high-output engineering teams and shipping complex systems in production.
- A hands-on leader who can write code when needed, but knows how to scale their impact through others.
- Deep product sensibility and bias for impact; you’re excited by the intersection of product, growth, and engineering.
- A systems thinker: able to map and execute across tools, data flows, and operational complexity.
