A fixed term contract for 12 months maternity leave cover in the Finance department located in Kings Cross, London. The role involves directing ARIA's Finance Operations function, ensuring financial control, statutory reporting, and operational finance support.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will:

  • Lead ARIA's Finance Operations function, ensuring effective delivery of financial operations and control.
  • Support and develop the Finance Operations team, promoting a positive team culture.
  • Oversee the development of financial policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Own the delivery of ARIA's Annual Report and Accounts.
  • Manage the external audit process and ensure robust financial reporting.
  • Play a dynamic role in Finance's automation and AI transformation programme.
  • Strengthen financial stewardship and lead ARIA’s counterfraud approach.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Finance Operations team.

Who you are

A successful candidate will bring many of the following skills and experience:

  • A recognised professional accountancy qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience leading finance operations and financial control.
  • Experience delivering statutory financial statements and leading external audits.
  • Strong understanding of public sector financial accountability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
