A leading real assets fund with a portfolio of infrastructure & renewables is looking to hire a contractor to support with portfolio performance monitoring and valuations on a 12-month fixed-term basis, starting ASAP. This is a broad, commercially focused role sitting close to the investment and asset management teams, with responsibility for valuation processes and ongoing portfolio performance analysis across a diversified asset base. You will play a key part in supporting valuation cycles and providing insight into portfolio performance, working closely with internal teams and external advisers.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Supporting semi-annual valuation processes across a multi-asset portfolio
  • Working alongside external valuation advisers and coordinating inputs across the business
  • Preparing materials for internal valuation governance forums and supporting related queries from stakeholders including auditors
  • Analysing valuation movements at both asset and portfolio level, with a clear understanding of underlying drivers
  • Applying and reviewing valuation methodologies, with a strong focus on discounted cashflow modelling
  • Producing and delivering management information and performance reporting
  • Reviewing financial models from asset management teams to assess performance and key assumptions
  • Running scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess investment outcomes
  • Tracking risk factors, including downside scenarios and broader portfolio sensitivities
  • Keeping close to market and macro trends and assessing potential impacts on asset performance

Requirements:

  • Formal accounting qualification is highly advantageous
  • 4–7 years’ experience in valuations or portfolio monitoring
  • Strong DCF modelling capability, ideally within infrastructure or real estate
  • Background from either an advisory firm or a buy-side environment
  • Available to start immediately or at short notice

Compensation on offer is around the £75,000 to £85,000 mark with a completion bonus and wider benefits package.
