An established European alternative investment platform is looking to appoint a
Senior Manager – Finance Strategic Projects to join its Group Finance team in London.
This is a newly created position sitting at the intersection of commercial finance, strategy and business transformation.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help shape key strategic initiatives, improve decision-making through better financial insight and analytics, and play a leading role in the continued evolution of the finance function.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems and wants significantly broader exposure than a traditional FP&A or finance role can offer.
The Opportunity
You’ll partner with senior stakeholders across the business to evaluate new opportunities, build financial models, improve reporting capability and drive projects that support the firm's continued growth.
Alongside strategic analysis, you’ll help modernise finance through automation, improved data utilisation and technology-enabled process improvement, becoming a key contributor to how finance supports commercial decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and new business opportunities.
- Build commercial models to support investment decisions, business cases and long-term planning.
- Deliver financial analysis and insight to improve strategic decision-making.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, including systems enhancement, automation and process redesign.
- Improve management information, reporting quality and data accessibility across the business.
- Work closely with Finance, Technology and Change teams to develop more efficient ways of working.
- Support the evolution of finance into a more commercially focused, data-driven business partner.
- Present complex financial analysis in a clear and practical way to senior stakeholders.
Your Background
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering experience gained within private markets or asset/wealth management.
You’ll ideally bring
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Experience supporting strategic projects and commercial decision-making.
- Strong business partnering skills with senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel together with experience using Power BI, Power Query or similar analytical tools.
- A genuine interest in automation, AI and technology within finance.
- Curiosity, commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information for non-finance audiences.
Salary on offer in the region of £120-130k base plus bonus & hybrid working (3 days in the office).
