A high-growth alternative investment platform is seeking an experienced Finance Director to work closely with the COO and Partners in a broad, high-impact leadership role. Managing several £bn in AUM across European credit, the firm is entering an exciting phase of growth and operational evolution. This hire will play a pivotal role in helping scale the finance and operating infrastructure whilst partnering on strategic commercial initiatives across the business.
The position sits at the intersection of operational finance, fund operations, strategic projects and commercial decision-making, offering significant exposure to senior leadership and key business initiatives. Please note this role is aimed at someone already operating at FD level (or equivalent) in a complex private markets fund.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee operational finance and fund finance activities across the management company and investment vehicles
- Partner with the COO and senior leadership on strategic initiatives
- Drive process improvement, scalability and operational efficiency across the platform
- Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors and outsourced providers
- Support the integration and optimisation of London and Luxembourg finance operations
- Lead and execute business-critical projects currently sitting within the COO remit
- Provide commercial analysis, modelling and strategic insight to support decision-making
- Help build and scale a best-in-class finance infrastructure within a fast-growing investment platform
- Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or international equivalent)
- Background within alternative asset management, ideally with exposure to private credit, private equity or similar closed end fund structures
- Strong operational finance and fund finance experience within an investment management environment
- Experience working with Luxembourg structures
- Commercially minded with the ability to operate beyond core finance responsibilities
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence and maturity to engage directly with Partners and senior leadership
- Highly competitive base salary plus target bonus of 50% (as a guide)
- 5 days per week in office with some flex to WFH
- Preference for candidates available on a relatively short notice period
