A growing investment platform is seeking an experienced hedging specialist to support a defined transformation project within its private markets function. The contract will focus on the review, redesign and optimisation of the hedging framework supporting a diversified private markets platform, working across private credit and private equity across both closed-end and semi-liquid fund structures. This is a delivery-focused engagement offering clear ownership of a critical workstream, with close interaction across investment, platform, risk and operations teams.
Project scope:
- Lead the end-to-end review, redesign and optimisation of the hedging infrastructure and hedging programmes across the private markets platform, covering private credit, private equity and infrastructure strategies within closed-end and semi-liquid fund structures.
- Assess the suitability, scalability and governance of the current hedging approach and define a future-state framework aligned to business growth and product evolution.
- Advise on the practical implementation of the redesigned hedging platform, including operating model, controls and execution considerations.
- Provide subject-matter expertise to senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Profile sought:
- Circa 8+ years of proven experience delivering hedging or FX risk management initiatives within private markets or alternative investment platforms.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, investor currency exposures and derivative-based hedging solutions.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on contract environment with a clear project remit and senior stakeholder exposure.
