A globally private equity fund, headquartered in London, is looking to appoint a Fund Controller into its fund finance team.
The role sits at the centre of the fund operations platform, combining fund oversight, fund analytics ,deal support, treasury and investor interaction, with meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders across the firm.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end operational lifecycle of private markets funds, from fundraising and capital deployment through to distributions and ongoing investor reporting
- Provide deal execution support, including capital planning, funding flows and coordination across internal and external stakeholders
- Lead fund administrator oversight, acting as the primary point of contact, monitoring service levels, and driving continuous improvement
- Take ownership of treasury and liquidity management across fund structures, supporting cash forecasting and capital activity
- Act as a subject matter specialist on fund structures and governing documentation, interpreting LPAs and side letters to inform operational decision making
- Review portfolio company valuations and contribute to the Valuation Committee process, ensuring robust challenge and governance standards
- Partner with Investor Relations on reporting deliverables and ad hoc LP queries, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data
- Maintain strong data governance standards, improving data integrity across operational workflows
- Use analytics tools such as Power BI to produce fund analytics insights
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort and enhance the overall fund operations framework
Candidate profile
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
- Likely 3 to 6 years’ post-qualified experience
- Experience working with closed-end fund structures, ideally within private equity, although private credit backgrounds will also be considered
- Strong understanding of fund mechanics, capital activity and outsourced administrator models
