A high growth mid market Private Equity fund is looking to add a recently qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) to their best in class finance team, suited to someone working in an alternative asset manager and/or with relevant funds or FS experience from a Big 4/Top 10 firm. This is a brilliant end to end role, suited to someone happy being hands on across financial, management, group accounting with some involvement in the day to day transactional work and bookkeeping.
Finance is a team of 12 people with a sociable, supportive and flexible culture and multiple examples of people who have joined the firm, progressed, gained promotion and developed a long term career.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and posting of nominal ledger transactions
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and monitor cashflow forecasts
- Prepare monthly management accounting packs for UK entities
- Responsible for quarterly VAT return preparation
- Responsible for annual PSA preparation
- Manage Portfolio Company / aborted deals expense recharges
- Support preparation of the Annual Budget and monthly budget reporting
- Support the preparation of financial statements for UK entities
- Assist with the annual audit of financial statements
- Preparation of the quarterly GPS and Service Fees invoices
- Support the Fund Finance team including reviews of quarterly accounts produced by Fund Administrators
- Support the AP Exec on processing expenses and payment runs
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Recent accounting qualification such as ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent
- A background either in smaller to medium sized fund OR in a top 4/top 20 accounting firm looking for a move into industry with relevant funds or financial services clients
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and to deliver to deadlines
- A flexible and adaptable, hands-on attitude, willing to embrace ad-hoc tasks as well as showing commitment to the various daily, weekly, and monthly workflows
- Strong numeracy and excel skills
- Excellent communication skills and an open, positive outlook
Salary on offer is c.£60-70k base depending on experience plus benefits and bonus. UK working experience is essential and visa sponsorship isn’t on offer.
