Aria Partners are delighted to be working with a well established family office with a large and diversified portfolio of private equity investments. As part of its continued evolution, the business is looking to appoint a commercially minded finance professional to come in as a number two to the CFO. This is a broad and visible role spanning both the family office corporate structure and its underlying fund investments.

You will take ownership of corporate level reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the management entity, while also supporting across the existing closed-end private equity fund structures. The remit offers genuine variety, commercial exposure and regular interaction with senior stakeholders.

On the corporate side, you will oversee reporting cycles, deliver meaningful financial analysis to senior leadership, lead budgeting and planning processes, and supervise a small team within a lean and collaborative environment.

Across the investment portfolio, you will support fund oversight and portfolio monitoring activities, working closely with the investment team on cash flow forecasting, performance analysis and fund financial reporting. You will liaise with third party administrators, review and approve transactions, and contribute to periodic valuation and performance updates. The emphasis is on informed oversight and commercial understanding rather than purely process driven accounting.

The culture is close knit and high trust. It is a relatively small group where finance and investment functions are closely aligned, creating strong visibility and day to day exposure to decision makers. The intention is for this individual to grow into a Head of Finance role in the medium term. There is clear upward mobility for someone who demonstrates ownership, commercial judgement and leadership capability.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant.
  • Likely to be in the region of 3 to 6 years’ post qualified experience.
  • Experience working on the buy side within private markets or an investment led environment. Prior fund level experience is not essential but advantageous.
  • The business is comfortable supporting the right individual in developing deeper fund oversight capability, provided they bring strong fundamentals and the right mindset.

Compensation is likely to land around the £90,000-110,000 salary mark with a generous bonus and wider benefits package. Apply online for immediate consideration or get in touch with Tom Davenport at Aria Partners for more information.
