An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Finance Manager to join a highly entrepreneurial private office environment with interests spanning philanthropy, investment activity and consumer brands. This is a broad, hands-on role with genuine ownership across multiple entities, including a large-scale charitable organisation and an early-stage commercial venture. The position would suit someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is comfortable balancing day-to-day financial control with wider operational involvement.

The Role

  • Managing day-to-day banking relationships and cashflow across multiple entities
  • Overseeing payment processes, controls and approvals
  • Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • Producing monthly management accounts and internal reporting packs
  • Managing VAT returns and wider compliance requirements
  • Coordinating tax and audit processes with external advisors
  • Overseeing payroll, PAYE and pension administration
  • Supporting workflow management and reporting through digital productivity tools

Your Background

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA / CA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within a multi-entity, entrepreneurial or complex environment - family office or private investment office experience is preferred and could have been gained via a relevant client base in practice
  • Strong technical accounting and organisational skills
  • Exposure to corporate or personal tax an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, self-sufficient approach with strong communication skills
  • Confidence using digital workflow and collaboration tools

Hybrid working is on offer in addition to a base salary of c.£80-100,000 (DEO) plus benefits and bonus.
