Are you a seasoned finance professional ready to bring your skills to a high-performing team where your insights will shape decision-making and drive innovation? We’re looking for a Finance Manager with a background in financial reporting or corporate accounting to join a global brand name hedge fund in a senior leadership role.
This is an an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, inclusive and collaborative environment, leading a small team and covering a mixture of BAU and project work.
The ideal candidate will be qualified and around 7 to 10 years PQE, with a background working in a large and complex financial services business, be that asset management, alternatives, banking, insurance or fintech/payments.
Your responsibilities:
- Leading the month-end close process for several European entities, including reviewing journal entries and ensuring reconciliations are seamless
- Supporting audit processes and collaborating with external auditors to see financial statements through to completion
- Assisting in the preparation and review of VAT filings and other indirect tax matters—building strong relationships with trusted external advisors
- Performing expense analysis, identifying cost drivers, and contributing to smarter, data-led decisions
- Partnering with teams across the business to find ways to streamline workflows and increase efficiency
- Helping deliver management reporting, local regulatory filings, and survey responses that guide strategic thinking
- Playing a hands-on role in finance transformation projects and continuous process improvement across EMEA
- Day to day coaching, mentoring and management for several qualified accountants
Your background:
- A Qualified Accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent) with at least 8 to 10+ years of experience in finance
- Experience working in a large and complex financial services business – essential
- A proven leader with experience managing small teams and mentoring others toward success
- Strong judgment, excellent communication, and top-tier analytical skills
- Tech-savvy
- A multitasker who thrives under pressure and meets deadlines without breaking a sweat
- Energetic, proactive and full of integrity – you take ownership of your work and have a continuous improvement mindset
Salary on offer is c.£120,000 to £140,000 base plus bonus and benefits.
Please note this company operates from the office 5 days a week and does not have a remote working policy.
