A boutique long/short hedge fund undergoing exponential growth following several successful fundraises is looking to hire a fund accountant in a newly created position. The firm operates with a lean, high-performing team and is known for its collaborative culture and strong alignment between finance/ops and the front office. The Fund Accountant will work closely with the Head of Fund Finance and play a key role overseeing the fund’s financial operations in a heavily outsourced environment. This is a broad role covering everything from NAV oversight, valuation reviews, fund financial analysis and investor reporting through to treasury, regulatory, and risk-related support. The position blends elements of fund accounting, middle office and risk management, making it an excellent platform for someone who wants to broaden their skillset beyond pure accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee NAV, valuation reviews, fund financial analysis and investor reporting.
- Support treasury, regulatory, and risk-related activities in a heavily outsourced environment.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial controls within the fund operations.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with circa 1-3 years of post-qualified experience.
- Likely to have trained in a Top 10 audit firm with exposure to investment management, hedge fund, or banking clients.
Compensation:
Compensation on offer is circa £65,000-70,000 with exceptional bonus potential that is in the upper echelons for this level.
