We’re partnering with a high-quality boutique private equity fund to appoint an experienced Fund Accountant on a 12 month fixed-term contract starting ASAP. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of fund accounting oversight across a range of closed-end structures and provide essential finance support through a busy year-end period. This is an ideal position for a qualified accountant who enjoys working in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment where you can have real impact and visibility across both fund and corporate finance. You must be able to start this role by the end of November/first week of December at the latest.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the fund accounting and reporting for several closed-end private equity structures, co-investment vehicles and SMAs
- Reviewing fund administrator outputs, including capital calls, distributions, NAVs, and quarterly reports
- Supporting audit and year-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements
- Assisting with management and investor reporting, including performance analysis and ad-hoc requests
- Providing broader finance support across the corporate entity during the year-end cycle
- Helping to refine and strengthen financial controls and reporting processes
Your background:
- Formal accounting qualifications (ACA, CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in fund accounting within a UK-based private equity or alternative investment manager
- A solid understanding of closed-end fund structures and UK accounting/reporting standards
- Strong attention to detail and confidence in reviewing complex financial information
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Right to work in the UK – unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this role
Job offer:
- Salary: £80,000–£90,000 (DOE) plus benefits and completion bonus (~20%)
- Location: London – hybrid working (3 days per week in the office)
