A high profile and instantly recognisable name in the world of Private Equity is looking for an experienced Fund Controller for a 12 month maternity cover contract, starting end of August or early September.
This role is best suited to someone with formal qualifications and probably around 5 to 10 years PQE in fund accounting or fund control for closed end funds, ie: private equity, private debt, credit, infrastructure of similar.You must also be available to start by the end of the summer to ensure adequate handover.
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversight of fund accounting and fund operations for your designated funds (all outsourced); key point of contact for service providers and auditors
- Monitoring and analysis of the investment related activities for various private equity funds
- Fund forecasting and cashflow / liquidity management
- Performance analysis
- Completion of both ad-hoc and recurring investor requests as required
- Active involvement in various projects and initiatives implementation
Your background:
- Qualified accountant (essential) with experience in a similar fund accounting or fund controller role in a medium to larger and/or complex alternative asset manager – private equity preferred
- At least 8 to 10 years plus collective experience in Accounting/Finance for private markets
- Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented, organised and self-motivated with ability to meet demanding deadlines
- Comfortable working in a European team split across several offices – similar experience would be ideal
Salary on offer is around £90-110,000 base plus completion bonus.
Hybrid working 3 days in the office / 2 remote.
