Aria Partners is working with a growing alternative investment manager looking to appoint a Finance & Operations Manager to join its London based team.
This is a broad opportunity for a qualified accountant who wants to move beyond traditional financial reporting and take on a more commercially focused role with responsibility across the business.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll take ownership of the management company finance function alongside a range of wider operational responsibilities. The business operates a lean structure, so you'll have plenty of exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to how the firm operates.
The role will involve:
- Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and wider FP&A activities.
- Overseeing management accounts and financial reporting, working closely with outsourced accounting providers.
- Supporting the CFO with financial modelling, strategic projects and commercial analysis.
- Coordinating year-end audits, tax processes and wider financial controls.
- Managing external service providers and supporting contract negotiations.
- Taking responsibility for various business operations, including aspects of HR, IT and internal processes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and operational efficiency.
What we're looking for:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience - likely to be around the 2-4 year mark
- Ideally experience within investment management, private markets or a related financial services environment, although strong professional services backgrounds will also be considered.
- Exposure to management company finance, financial planning or broader commercial finance activities.
- Someone proactive, commercially minded and comfortable working in a smaller, hands-on environment.
- Ambition to take on greater responsibility and develop into a senior finance leadership position over time.
Compensation is dependent on experience and the firm are willing to be candidate led. They operate a hybrid working policy and wider benefits are generous.
