Role Overview
As a Senior Associate Consultant, you will support Aria’s retail clients by helping them solve complex business challenges within merchandising, pricing, product development, and supply chain management. You will apply your industry knowledge and Aria’s proven methodologies to develop practical solutions that drive measurable and lasting improvements. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen interest in retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative solutions to business challenges faced by retailers.
- Deliver high-quality insights, reports, and recommendations to improve business performance.
- Support the structuring and management of project plans, activities, and deliverables.
- Conduct industry, competitor, and company analyses (strategic, financial, and operational).
- Carry out market research and benchmarking to inform decision-making.
- Capture and document business capabilities, processes, and technology solutions.
- Present findings and insights to executive stakeholders.
- Create client profiles, organisational charts, and workflow assessments.
- Prepare reports and presentations based on client interviews, workshops, and meetings.
- Assist in process and requirements workshops.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
- A minimum of four years’ experience working in retail, a brand, or retail consultancy.
- Strong understanding of merchandising, pricing, product development, supply chain, or business transformation within a global or multi-channel business.
- Familiarity with core retail systems and high-level systems architecture.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-cultural teams.
Desirable:
- Experience working on major software implementations or in retail analytics.
- Understanding of merchandising, product lifecycle management, and supply chain analytics.
- A successful retail career within merchandising, buying, supply chain, or IT.
- Experience working for major fashion brands or vertically integrated retailers.
Salary: £40-50k depending on experience and interview performance. Up to 20% in annual bonuses.
