The role of an Activities Lead is to plan, organize, and facilitate engaging and meaningful activities for the residents at Chestnut View Care Home. The successful candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for older adults, particularly those with dementia, by creating a stimulating and enriching environment through a variety of activities.
Main duties of the job
As the Activities Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a diverse activity program that caters to the interests and needs of the residents. This includes organizing group activities, one‑on‑one sessions, outings, and special events. You will work closely with the care team to understand the residents’ preferences, abilities, and any special needs, ensuring that the activities are tailored to their individual requirements. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, budgeting, and collaborating with external partners to bring in additional resources and expertise.

Job responsibilities
Full Time - 37.50 hours per week - 5 days per week - Alternate weekends. Previous experience as Activities Lead is required. We may consider someone who has previous experience as Activities Coordinator and is looking for career progression. £14.00 per hour.

Person Specification
Previous experience as an Activities Lead or Activities Coordinator is required, with a passion for creating engaging and meaningful activities for older adults, particularly those with dementia. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the care team, are essential.
