Argyll Holidays are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in a full-time, permanent role at Drimsynie Holiday Village, one of Scotland's leading holiday parks. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven chef who is confident running a kitchen and maintaining consistently high standards of food and service. Live in accommodation can be provided for the right candidate at a subsidised cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, stepping up to lead in their absence.
- Oversee food preparation and service, ensuring dishes are cooked and presented to a high standard.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Help with menu planning, dish development, and specials.
- Train, supervise and motivate junior kitchen staff, leading by example.
- Manage stock, ordering and deliveries, minimising waste and controlling costs.
- Ensure all kitchen paperwork, labelling and temperature checks are completed accurately.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up.
- Confident running a busy kitchen service and maintaining high standards under pressure.
- Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen cleanliness.
- Organised, reliable and calm, with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Passionate about quality food and consistent standards.
