Argyll and Bute Council’s ICT Department are seeking an Engineer within the ICT Desktop Team. This is a permanent full-time post, working 35 hours per week (Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm) and is fully Office based in The Graham Williamson IT Centre in Helensburgh, with a requirement to travel to ICT supported sites across Argyll and Bute. This is an exciting role working within a dynamic team which has a strong focus on customer service.
You will be responsible for providing hardware and software support including first and second-line operational support, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of service requests, issues and incidents. You must have up to date experience and strong skills centring on Microsoft operating systems, desktop applications and Microsoft 365 environment. Ideally, you will have experience in scripting and remote support along with excellent customer service experience and overall strengths in technical, troubleshooting and communication skills in addition to supporting and deploying to site Laptops, iPads and Chromebooks.
