In doing so they must ensure that best value is delivered to service users by providing safe, efficient, fit for purpose buildings that meet all statutory requirements with minimised utilities’ consumption. The post will be based in either Argyll House, Dunoon or Kilmory Castle, Lochgilphead.The Building Services and Energy Manager is a strategic planning and policy development role focussed on Building Services, Energy Management and Statutory Compliance within Argyll and Bute. The successful candidate will have staffing responsibility for the Building Services Team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Technical Support and will be responsible for the administration and financial management of various budgets.Property Services are seeking a highly motivated individual who has a determination to succeed and deliver first class results with a strong customer focus. The role requires someone who can balance a diverse workload, provide clear direction, budgetary planning and meet deadlines.The post holder will be required to have a degree in a relevant discipline, or extensive relevant practical experience to the equivalent level of qualification and hold incorporated Engineer status.The post holder is required to travel effectively and efficiently throughout Argyll and Bute and beyond to meet the needs of the service.Argyll and Bute is one of Scotland’s most stunning areas.
