A vacancy has arisen for a Roadworker 3 to work on the Isle of Mull for Argyll and Bute Council. Argyll and Bute is one of Scotland’s most stunning areas. As its award-winning council, we play a vital part in the day-to-day life and long-term future of our beautiful and diverse communities. The successful candidate will be working on the Isle of Mull and undertake structural and road maintenance works, including taking part in out of hours standby during summer/winter months to ensure roads are maintained in a safe condition. This is a permanent post, worked Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:00 and Friday 08:00 - 15:30, 37 hours per week.

Previous experience of major patching and surfacing operations will be essential to this post as well as leadership skills in a small team and the ability to deal with technical staff and members of the public.
