A vacancy has arisen for a Roads Working Foreperson required to work in the Helensburgh/Lomond area, working for Argyll and Bute, one of Scotland's most beautiful areas. As its award-winning council, we play a vital part in the day-to-day life and long-term future of our beautiful and diverse communities.
The Roads Working Foreperson will undertake structural and road maintenance works. Be able to understand and work unsupervised setting out and constructing all types of work to a satisfactory standard. Supervise and motivate a large multi-skilled group of employees. Ensure deadlines are adhered to when submitting paperwork. To take part in out of hours standby during summer/winter months to ensure roads are maintained in a safe condition.
It is essential that the successful candidate holds an HGV and HAUC certificate. This is a permanent post, 37 hours per week, worked Monday-Friday.
