A vacancy has arisen for a Roads Working Foreperson required to work in the Helensburgh/Lomond area, working for Argyll and Bute, one of Scotland's most beautiful areas. The Roads Working Foreperson will undertake structural and road maintenance works.

  • Be able to understand and work unsupervised setting out and constructing all types of work to a satisfactory standard.
  • Supervise and motivate a large multi-skilled group of employees.
  • Ensure deadlines are adhered to when submitting paperwork.
  • Take part in out of hours standby during summer/winter months to ensure roads are maintained in a safe condition.

It is essential that the successful candidate holds an HGV and HAUC certificate. This is a permanent post, 37 hours per week, worked Monday-Friday.
