At Lochgilphead Joint Campus we are committed to providing inclusive and equitable learning experiences for all children and young people. We are looking for a Pupil Support teacher to work in our Learning Centre provision as part of an experienced team. Working with primary and secondary pupils with a range of complex needs, you will be part of a friendly and supportive environment where nurturing relationships and bespoke approaches are at the heart of everything we do.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering personalised learning pathways for all pupils enabling them to flourish, achieve and feel valued. You will have the chance to have a meaningful impact – to contribute to the development, wellbeing and education of pupils with a diverse range of support needs. You will help pupils overcome barriers, achieve to their potential and look confidently to their next steps.

You will be GTCS registered, experienced in working with pupils with additional support needs and committed to your own professional learning and supporting pupils. Interviews for this post will take place on Thursday 25th June 2026.

This post is temporary until 02 July 2027. Applicants should note that this post requires Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Membership in relation to working with children. This is a temporary post which may be filled on a secondment basis by an employee wishing to gain experience/career development and will be at the discretion of the employee’s Third Tier Manager.

Please Note - Pay arrangements for those starting after 1st day of school session. In accordance with Teachers Conditions of Service (SNCT - Appendix 2.19), Teachers who commence employment with Argyll and Bute Council after the first day of the school session will have their salary for the remainder of the school salary year (which runs from 1 August to 31 July each year), recalculated to reflect how teachers accrue leave and pay. In these circumstances, a calculation will be carried out upon commencement of employment and leave and pay will be adjusted.
