We have a vacancy for a Marine and Roads Inspector for the Islands of Islay and Jura. Argyll and Bute is one of Scotland’s most stunning areas. The role will include:

• Assisting the Area Harbour Master to ensure the safe operation of piers in designated areas.
• Assisting the Team Leader Operations to deliver an efficient, effective and high quality service to users by providing a multi-purpose inspection service of the roads and footway network within the Area including notification in advance and monitoring and inspecting progress of work on the public road and footway network.
• Undertaking consistent and effective enforcement of “off street” parking restrictions, and to undertake enforcement of environmental legislation infringements, such as littering and dog fouling.
• You will be comfortable working autonomously as a lone worker covering remote areas and as a team member.
