Senior IT Engineer - Networks - ARB18407 in Lochgilphead

Argyll and Bute Council is seeking to recruit a full-time Senior IT Engineer to join its IT Networks team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic, customer-focused IT service based in Lochgilphead.

This is a hybrid role. While a significant proportion of the role can be carried out remotely, regular in-person attendance in Lochgilphead is essential to support service delivery. The role also requires travel to various Council offices and schools, so access to your own car/pool car is necessary.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design, implementation, and ongoing support of voice and data network infrastructure. You will play a key role in delivering both hardware and software support, providing second- and third-line operational assistance, and ensuring the timely resolution of service requests, incidents, and technical issues.

The Council has made significant investment in its core technologies, including Cisco network infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams for unified communications. We are looking for an individual who can bring strong technical expertise and practical experience to help enhance and support a professional and forward-thinking IT team.
