Argyll & Bute Council are seeking to employ a highly motivated person to lead their Property Design Team and manage a diverse range of professional disciplines, projects and clients. Our preferred candidate would have a base at one of our offices in Dunoon, Lochgilphead, or Helensburgh but working flexibly (including home working) and managing teams across different locations will be part of the role.
The successful candidate should have a grounding as a property professional (architect, engineer, surveyor, planner, project manager etc) but will also have a strong customer focus and should be able to apply logical, analytical and problem solving techniques to deliver efficient solutions and effective decisions.

The successful candidate will develop, manage and deliver efficient and effective Capital Programmes, projects and team design solutions across the Council, ensuring best value is delivered to service users for both capital and revenue maintenance projects. They should also be able to show ability and experience in staff management in order to effectively control and ensure the productivity of the Property Design Team.
The post holder is required to travel effectively and efficiently throughout Argyll and Bute and beyond to meet the needs of the service. A PVG is required for this post.
