Service: Customer Support Services - ICT
Argyll and Bute Council are looking to recruit a Modern Apprentice for the role of Print and Mail Room Assistant based at Council Headquarters, Kilmory, Lochgilphead. The Apprentice role will run for 1 year during which the successful applicant will undertake a SCQF level 5 Business and Administration course in addition to daily duties.
Duties include:
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Scanning mail
- Assisting with general print operations and recording figures
Applicants will preferably have experience using Microsoft Office, email and have good communication skills; however, full training will be provided along with mentorship of the SCQF course.
Please note the role is office-based Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week) and we pay our modern apprentices the Scottish Local Government Living Wage (which is currently £13.52 per hour for 2026/27).
