We are looking to recruit a part-time licensing assistant to participate as a member of the Legal Services team. The post is for 17 hours a week. The hours can be worked flexibly over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and will in part be office based at the Council Headquarters in Lochgilphead. About the role : The main responsibilities of the post will be the administration and processing of applications received under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 including occasional licences and extended hours and the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 relating to matters such as the licensing of taxis and private hire cars. The work will involve dealing with members of the public, licensees and external agencies. The work is interesting and varied and the post holder will join a busy licensing team. The successful candidate should be able to manage their own case load and be able to work independently and as part of a team. About you: The successful candidate should have 3 Standard Grades (Level 1-3) or equivalent, have experience of working in a busy office, good communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
