You will lead a highly skilled team of 61 staff covering ICT infrastructure – networks, servers, applications, projects, desktop support, procurement, installation, data and cyber security. Our team runs with low to no vacancies and we have a strong commitment to growing our own and investing in our employees. We are closely involved in national partnership working on public sector ICT and digital developments.

The council is focussed on driving the benefits of digital transformation with a digitally enabled workforce and digital service delivery. We are compliant with cyber essentials, operate over 200 applications, 13000 devices and deliver support and digital improvements to over 2200 staff in over 100 council locations across our large, remote rural and islands area.

With a fully flexible approach to work, we offer a hybrid approach to your workplace - from home or an allocated council base. You will work closely with your management team with regular operational management team meetings. You will chair the monthly ITMT and various project boards and teams. You will work closely with your line manager, Head of Customer Support Services and will prepare papers for leadership and council as required. You will be a member of the Customer Support Services Management Team and the Senior Leadership Forum.
