The Council’s Property Services Section is looking to recruit an Electrical Technician, to assist the Senior Climate Change Officer in providing the Council and Client Departments with a professional Electrical service. The postholder will ensure best value is delivered to service users by taking specific responsibility to deliver allocated projects (generally of an Asset Sustainability/Service Development nature) and maintenance/compliance programmes in accordance with current legislation and best practice, including surveys/audits, upkeep of statutory records, preparation of specifications and the supervision and management of contracts (and contractors) from inception to completion. This will include budgetary responsibility for projects/contracts within the remit of the post, including financial monitoring and control of expenditure.
