Argyll and Bute Council’s Customer Engagement Team are seeking to fill the role of a customer service agent (face to face) within our Customer Service Point located at Manse Brae, Lochgilphead. This is a permanent post working 17.5 hours from Monday to Friday each week. The working pattern is 9am to 12.30pm.

The duties of the post include supporting the Customer Service Centre in delivering a high-quality, efficient and effective service to customers. This involves providing a high quality, customer-focused service within the Customer Service Centre Team, processing enquiries and requests, offering advice and information on Council Services, and carrying out a range of other duties in accordance with Council Policy, service guidelines and procedures.

Provide an effective and efficient registration service, conducting civil marriages, civil partnerships, citizenship ceremonies, baby naming ceremonies, renewal of marriage vows and associated duties/paperwork including preparation of registers.
