The predicted salary is between 23500 - 25000 £ per year.

The post holder will assist the Research & Development Officer to delivery high quality services and best value to service users by ensuring that all agreed plans are implemented efficiently and effectively. In particular:

  1. assist in the preparation, production and dissemination of the Council’s Local Housing Strategy.

  2. monitor and prepare reports on local housing strategy and associated strategic plans

  3. co-ordinate arrangements for strategic partnership meetings.

  4. collate, analyse and present data for the production of the Housing Needs and Demand Assessment.

  5. review and update Housing Market Area profiles

  6. assist with the production of reports/plans/strategies/presentations and background materials for the housing service

  7. liaise with partners/consultants and all stakeholders in relation to production of strategic housing plans

  8. maintain accurate and up to date information for all housing related websites in Argyll and Bute (eg Council and HOMEArgyll)

  9. maintain an up to date knowledge of all relevant Housing Strategy Guidance.

  10. respect the confidentiality of clients, colleagues and other Department/Agencies at all times.

  11. work within the Equal Opportunities policies and other values of the Council.

  • The jobholder will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Argyll and Bute and beyond to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; numeracy and organisational skills

  • Ability to input data accurately and efficiently

It is desirable that the post holder has:

  • HNC in related field or Housing Diploma Level 4

  • Front line experience of housing or related service

  • Knowledge of Housing Market System

This is a temporary, full time post, 35 hrs per week, worked Monday to Friday 9am -5pm with an hour for lunch., Argyll and Bute Council recognises the numerous benefits of a positive work-life balance to the wellbeing and productivity of our employees.
