A vacancy has arisen for a Seasonal Driver 2, you will be required to drive throughout Argyll and Bute, one of Scotland's most beautiful areas. As its award-winning council, we play a vital part in the day-to-day life and long-term future of our beautiful and diverse communities. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake driving duties, be responsible for allocated vehicles requiring specialist driving skills and to perform non-driving duties as required within Amenity Services. You will, either individually or as a member of the team, undertake duties concerned with the removal of glass from a variety of locations. These duties will require the use and operation of the usual range of associated manual and mechanical tools and equipment.
An LGV Licence (Large Goods Vehicle) minimum Cat C, Licence (previously HGV Cat 2 Licence) is essential to this post. This is a seasonal post, for 4 months. The hours worked are 37, on a 4 days on and 4 days off basis including Saturday and Sunday from 06:00 - 15:45.
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to complete a driving assessment to demonstrate their skills and suitability for the role. Details of this will be provided at interview stage, should a candidate be selected, and completion will be required in advance of any offer of employment.
