Dunbeg Early Learning Centre is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and caring Classroom Assistant to join our friendly and experienced team. This post is for 12 hours per week, working Monday to Wednesday.

Dunbeg Primary School and Early Learning Centre is situated in a beautiful coastal location, just outside Oban, and benefits from wonderful surroundings which provide a wealth of opportunities for learning both within and beyond the school grounds. Our extensive grounds include a large forest area which is regularly used to support outdoor learning, exploration, creativity and play.

As a Classroom Assistant, you will work as part of the Early Learning and Childcare team to support children in their learning, development and wellbeing. You will help to create a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, play, develop their independence and enjoy positive learning experiences.

The role will involve supporting children across a range of indoor and outdoor learning experiences, helping to prepare and organise resources, assisting with routines and transitions throughout the day, and providing individual or small-group support where required. You will work closely with Early Years staff to ensure the individual needs of children are recognised and supported appropriately.

We are looking for someone who is patient, positive, caring and approachable, with a genuine interest in supporting young children. You should be able to build warm and respectful relationships with children, work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider life of the Early Learning Centre and school.

This post requires Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Membership in relation to working with children. The salary shown is the full time equivalent salary, the actual salary will be paid pro rata for the hours worked.
