The Council’s Property Services Section is looking to recruit an Electrical Technician, to assist the Senior Climate Change Officer in providing the Council and Client Departments with a professional Electrical service. Argyll and Bute is one of Scotland’s most stunning areas. As its award-winning council, we play a vital part in the day-to-day life and long-term future of our beautiful and diverse communities.

The postholder will ensure best value is delivered to service users by taking specific responsibility to deliver allocated projects (generally of an Asset Sustainability/Service Development nature) and maintenance/compliance programmes in accordance with current legislation and best practice, including surveys/audits, upkeep of statutory records, preparation of specifications and the supervision and management of contracts (and contractors) from inception to completion. This will include budgetary responsibility for projects/contracts within the remit of the post, including financial monitoring and control of expenditure.
