A vacancy has arisen for a Driver 2 working in the Mid Argyll area for Argyll and Bute. Argyll and Bute is one of Scotland’s most stunning areas. The successful candidate will undertake driving duties, be responsible for allocated vehicles requiring specialist driving skills and to perform non-driving duties as required within Amenity Service. You will carry out, either individually or as a member of the team, duties concerned with the removal of household, industrial and commercial refuse from a variety of locations. These duties will require the use and operation of the usual range of associated manual and mechanical tools and equipment.
The hours of work are 37/4 Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:45, 9.25 hours per day. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in emergency situation responses and standby duties as required. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to complete a driving assessment to demonstrate their skills and suitability for the role.
