We are seeking a committed and compassionate Pupil Support Teacher to join our secondary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about supporting young people with Additional Support Needs (ASN) to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted intervention and support for pupils across the secondary age range who require additional assistance with learning, wellbeing, communication, literacy, numeracy, emotional regulation, or engagement in school life.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, pastoral staff, families, and external agencies, contributing to inclusive practice and positive outcomes for all learners.
- Assist in monitoring pupils’ progress, recording data, and preparing reports to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
Requirements
- Registered teacher or eligible to register with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.
- Experience working with pupils with additional learning needs or support, ideally within a secondary setting.
- Confirmation of Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership in relation to working with children.
- Familiarity with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Scotland) Order 2013, as amended.
