An excellent opportunity for a Building Standards Surveyor to join our award-winning Building Standards team in a very challenging yet beautiful part of Scotland. Based in Oban covering an area including the islands of Mull, Tiree and Colonsay, this hybrid post covers the full range of building standards verification and non-verification activities, and the ability to work flexibly from home, or other Council office(s) when not on site visits.
In the absence of qualified Surveyors, consideration will be given to appointing an Assistant Building Standards Surveyor for candidates with a HNC/HND in Building Standards or equivalent, to embark on a development programme to become a Building Standards Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for personal and professional career development.
The salary scale for Assistant Building Standards Surveyor will be SLGE 9 at £35,750 - £38,779. The salary scale for Building Standards Surveyor will be SLGE 11 at £45,641 - £49,364.
