Open call for Creative Demonstrations and Artist Showcase during Clipper. As part of the excitement and international atmosphere surrounding Clipper’s visit to Oban, The Rockfield Centre is inviting CHARTS members only, to take part in OFF THE CHARTS – a creative showcase celebrating artists, makers and creative practitioners from across Argyll and beyond. This event will take place on Wednesday, 15 July, from 10am to 3pm (with time for set‑up from 9am) at The Rockfield Centre, Oban.
This is not a craft fair. Instead, Rockfield, as a member organisation within the CHARTS network, aims to create a vibrant, engaging space where visitors can meet creatives from across Argyll, see work in action, hear about creative processes and discover what is happening across our region’s arts and culture sector.
Rockfield are looking for artists, makers and creatives who are fellow CHARTS members to:
- Demonstrate their art, craft or creative practice live
- Share skills, techniques and inspiration with visitors
- Promote themselves, commissions, workshops or future opportunities
- Display examples of finished work
- Engage with an international audience visiting Oban during Clipper
This event, which is entirely designed and supported by Rockfield, is making spaces available at £25 per person. What’s included:
- Access for set‑up from 9am
- Demonstration space (a table) from 10am to 3pm
- Opportunity to connect with a diverse local and international audience
- Promotion through The Rockfield Centre, CHARTS, Clipper and partner channels
Please note: This is a showcase and demonstration event rather than a traditional selling event. Limited sales may be discussed directly with visitors where appropriate, but the focus is on engagement, visibility and celebrating creative practice.
Deadline: 5pm 11 June. Get in touch with general@therockfieldcentre.org.uk to express interest or reserve your place.
